Surveillance Officer

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall protection of casino property and ensures accordance with the rules and compliance of gaming regulations. Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commissions and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the casino property. Protects company assets and gaming integrity, through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly the gaming floor. Communicates with all departments to ensure problems are effectively and promptly solved. Coordinates with Security Department when Surveillance discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention. Studies cheating activity and trends in gaming areas in order to take precautionary measures. Regularly inspects the premise, identifying potential violations or safety hazards. Reviews surveillance videos and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, if applicable. Reporting, record-keeping and data collection.
Requirements:
The Heights gives hiring preference first to members of the Trinidad Rancheria and then to members of all other federally recognized tribes. All candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Tribal Gaming License once employed. All candidates are subject to pre-employment drug screening. Must be over 21 years of age. Prior surveillance experience, military and law enforcement along with electronic and computer education or experience is preferred.
