Casino Maintenance Worker

Summary of Position: The Maintenance worker will assist in a variety of skilled and semi-skilled building repair and maintenance work for the entire facility, as well as interior and exterior surfaces, buildings, equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The tasks listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Some knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures used in the carpentry, electrical, landscaping, masonry, painting and plumbing.
Depending on the area assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Checks buildings, parking lots and furniture and equipment to locate needed repairs or maintenance.
Replaces light bulbs; and cleans light fixtures.
Applies paint to touch-up furniture and fixtures.
Installs and repairs locks, hinges and door closures.
Moves, assembles, and adjusts furniture fixtures and barricades for remodels and special events.
Maintains restroom, plumbing fixtures, dividers, and dispensers
Will use, maintain, and operate a variety of hand and power tools, ladders and scaffolding (optional; can be trained - battery powered man-lifts).
Will do or assist in setup and cleanup before and after special events and projects.
Will place, mount, and hang signs, posters and banners.
Will assist others when needed.
Will review and verify work requests daily for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, perform the work required, and turn in completed work orders upon completion of tasks assigned that day.
Will inform management of any equipment needing repairs or adjustment.
All repairs will be performed correctly, and the area will be cleaned up of all debris before leaving the area.
Will follow all regulations pertaining to the handling of hazardous materials at their disposal and enter all transactions in appropriate documentation.
Will observe all safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Follows instructions, responds to management direction and takes responsibility for own actions.
Completes tasks on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan when necessary. Understands that at times there be days where there are long hours of work when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.
Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality.

Qualifications:
Education And /Or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum of one year experience in maintenance and/or certificate of completion from a related trade school.
Must have a valid California Driver’s License and be approved through our auto insurance company.
Must be 21 years of age or older

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
