Dishwasher Kitchen Assistant

Summary of Position:
Properly cleans, sanitizes, dry, and put away all dishes, glassware, utensils and pots. The Dishwasher will be responsible for maintaining the dish area and dish machine. The Dishwasher/Kitchen Assistant will assist with the cleaning of other areas of the restaurant and daily duties, including some food preparation, pertaining to kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
· Maintains cleanliness of the dish station and the surrounding areas.
· Stocks and refills all dishwashing related products.
· Cleans all garbage bins and replaces bags throughout the daily shift.
· Washes and sanitizes all dishware, flatware, pots, and pans.
· Returns all clean wares to their proper locations in the kitchen or bar areas.
· Breaks down and disposes of all cardboard boxes.
· Sweeps and mops the walk in and cooler every shift.
· Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
· Assists in breaking down of line at end of serving.
· Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, and lift continuously for up to 10 hours a day.
· May assist in line cooking responsibilities including chopping, cutting, slicing and prepping of food items.
· May assist in cooking, prepping and completion/ presentation of plates for service in the Sunset Restaurant.
· And other duties as applicable to the performance and service of the Cher-Ae Heights Casino/Sunset Restaurant.
Qualifications
1. Must be 18 years or older.
2. Must have high school diploma or GED.
3. Must have good organizational skills.
4. Some restaurant knowledge is helpful.
5. Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
6. Must be able and willing to work various shifts including; weekends, late evenings, and holidays.
7. Must qualify for Tribal Gaming License and pass pre-employment drug screen
