Position Title: Lounge/FOH Manager

Reports To:  General Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

Manages: Lounge Staff- Bartender & Cocktail Wait Staff, FOH Staff

Summary of Position: The Lounge/FOH Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all aspects of the Firewater Lounge and Sunset FOH Staff. This position is responsible for managing the Firewater Lounge Staff and Sunset FOH Staff, including adherence to health regulations.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain budgets by maintaining cost effectiveness within the department by ensuring compliance within established budget, labor and revenue benchmarks.
Work with Marketing to promote sales and events. 
Plan and oversee all banquets and special events in the Lounge and Sunset.
Negotiate beverage items and prices with vendors and order beverage items.
Responsible for inventory control and monthly inventory and budgeting reconciliation for all beverages in the Casino.
Work with beverage vendors to maintain adequate supply of beverages and to maintain equipment.
Strong communication skills are required for this position.
Supervise and schedule a staff of bartenders, cocktail wait staff, bar backs and Sunset FOH Staff and conduct annual evaluations.
Provide a clean and safe environment for our guests and fellow employees.
Up-hold the laws as set forth by the California State Alcohol and Beverage Control.
Implement the policies and procedures as set forth by the The Heights Casino.
Demonstrate the ability to follow inventory and cost control procedures.
Display a cordial and respectful attitude toward patrons, employees, and fellow supervisors.
Discipline and/or terminate employees for just cause, abiding by Federal law and policies and procedures set by the Trinidad Rancheria.
Must be knowledgeable of all products or services provided by the Trinidad Rancheria.
Must be knowledgeable to State laws pertaining to consumption of alcoholic beverages and of legal age for consumption.
Demonstrate the ability to train staff in sales techniques to promote the sales of beverages.
Provide  in-service trainings for continuing staff education including POS system, State and Federal applicable laws and certifications.
Applicant must be able to read recipes and prepare cocktails.
Must be proficient in cash handling transactions.
Must present a friendly attitude while maintaining control of all situations that may occur.
Complies with all beverage, health, and safety regulations as well as all applicable federal, state and local laws.
Lounge/FOH Manager will conduct interviews as needed, and recommendation for promotions and or transfers.
Records data concerning work assignments, personnel actions, and time cards, and prepares periodic reports.
Attends and actively participates in staff meetings with department heads to review policies, progress, problems, and to make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operations.
Exhibits a professional attitude, personal hygiene, grooming and appearance at all times.
Must maintain a high level of quality and service in all aspects of the operation.
Accountable for Lounge and Sunset Restaurant satisfaction by ensuring the food and beverage service standards are met, and guest needs are responded to in a timely manner. Resolve guest complaints in a courteous and friendly manner, focusing on guest service, menu education, specials, taking orders, up-selling, collecting the bill and assisting all employees with guest service issues. Work side by side with staff and model appropriate service standards.
 

Qualifications
Minimum of five years’ experience in a fast paced food and beverage environment.
Able to communicate with others in the English language.
Able and willing to work various shifts including weekends, late evenings, and holidays.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Must qualify for Tribal Gaming License.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen test.
Must be 21 years of age or older
Work Environment and Physical Demands

·         Working environment consists of various levels of smoke, noise, light, heat, and cold.

·         Must be able to lift 50 pounds, reach, and bend.  Must be able to stand, walk for periods of six or more hours.

·         Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

·         Must be able to operate in physically and mentally stressful conditions.

·         Must have the manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard, micros touch screen and phone.
