Host/Hostess/Bus Person
Part-Time
Responsibilities:
• Strong communication and phone skills are required, along with the ability to organize.
• Ability to create and maintain a waiting list for seating.
• Clean and check all menus.
• Greet and seat all guests.
• Notify the Manager and/or Chef of special occasions or guest needs.
• Responsible for filling water glasses at tables and assisting with other refills
• Responsible for clearing and setting tables in dining room
• Keep dish area as organized as possible, restock soda and water glasses for servers
• Interaction with guests is part of this position.
• Maintain a neat and clean appearance, hair must be tied back or pulled off the shoulders
• Must be able to stand for an extended period of time.
Qualifications
1. Restaurant experience is preferred.
2. Must be 18 years or older.
3. Must have high school diploma or GED.
4. P.O.S. and computer skills preferred.
5. Must be able and willing to work various shifts including, weekends, late evening, and holidays.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
• Working environment consists of various levels of smoke, noise, light, heat, and cold.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, reach, and bend. Must be able to stand, walk for periods of six or more hours.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to operate in physically and mentally stressful conditions.
• Must have the manual dexterity to use a computer keyboard, p.o.s. touch screen and phone.
